FAQ on botox injections

Does Botox really erase wrinkles?

Botox does not “eliminate” wrinkles, but it greatly reduces them. It works by relaxing the muscles responsible for expression wrinkles (forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet), which smooths the skin above them.
Dynamic wrinkles (those that appear when you move the face) are the most visible.

Deep, already established wrinkles can be reduced but not completely erased; they are sometimes combined with hyaluronic acid for a better result.

Results generally appear 3 to 15 days after the injection and last 4 to 6 months.

Can you exercise after a Botox session?

It is recommended to avoid intense physical effort for 24 hours after the injection.

Exercising too soon can encourage the product to spread outside the targeted area and reduce its effectiveness or cause an adverse effect (e.g., drooping of the eyelid).

Light activities (walking, gentle stretching) are generally allowed.

After 24 hours, you can resume your training normally.

Can Botox injections be given while pregnant or breastfeeding?

As a precaution, Botox injections are not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Even though no major risk has been clearly demonstrated, there are not enough studies to guarantee complete safety for the baby. Doctors therefore prefer to postpone treatment until after this period.
